SUMMARY
Since 18.12.0, it seems the behavior added in https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=240037 was reverted.
I used this feature often to open a temporary tab : ctrl+shift+d, type a few commands, then ctrl+d returned to the previous working tab.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open two tabs
2. focus the first tab
3. open a third tab => new tab added at the end
4. close the third tab

OBSERVED RESULT
The second tab (last) is focused.

EXPECTED RESULT
The first tab (previously active one) is focused.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.55.0
Qt Version: 5.11.3

I don't know when it was fixed, but this is now working as previously on 19.08.2.
