SUMMARY

using android kdeconnect keyboard if i type "a" then linux kde lock screen password field is filled with "q"

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open android kde connect go to "remote control"
2. tap on keybord icon then type "a"
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT

"q" is displayed in linux kde lock screen

EXPECTED RESULT

"a" is displayed in linux kde lock screen

I can confirm the behavior when switching to french keyboard layout on the desktop. The desktop receives the correct key and forwards it to libfakekey, which makes me think it is a bug in libfakekey

kde kde connect 1.3.5

no more problem since updating to plasma 5.17, kde framewoks 5.63.0, kde app 19.08.2

is a fix in kdeconnect or in kde i don't know.

That's odd since there was no relevant code change and I can still reproduce.

This appears to be a generic problem with non-english layouts on the PC.

I experimented some progress with French language.

a ... z good

but

type "&" then "1" is written.

No problem with Samsung S7 keyboard app.
Problem with google keyboard app Gboard with some special symbols as "&". If you type "&" then nothing is displayed on PC screen.
