SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. rezise interface to make video playback larger and audio& video tracks smaller  
2. Open settings
3. Configure toolbars
4. OK

OBSERVED RESULT
Window interface resizes back to original aspect ratios

EXPECTED RESULT
Window interface should stay at resized aspect ratios

Confirmed. Even in the refactoring version we have this “snap back” of the timeline. 
Solution see here: https://community.kde.org/Kdenlive/Configuration. 

Delete kdenliverc and kdenlive-appimagerc.
