STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. For example in 'Application Style' settings subsection open any of Widget Style, Window Decorations or GNOME/GTK Application Style KCMs.
2. Click on any dropdowns in this KCMs.
3. Click outside of the dropdown.

OBSERVED RESULT
Dropdown persists

EXPECTED RESULT
Dropdown disappears

Operating System: KDE neon Developer Edition

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
In other KCMs for example Fonts - Anti-aliasing dropdown after clicking outside of the dropdown - it doesn't disappears, same in Cursor Theme KCM - Size dropdown

Could not reproduce using the following steps in X11 session:

1. start "kcmshell5 style"
2. click on "Widget style:"  combobox, drop-down appears
3. click outside of the drop-down

For me, the drop-down disappears.

Is this only reproducible in Wayland session?

I can confirm the bug in both fonts and cursors KCMs under Wayland.
No problem inside "Application Style" settings.

Not a duplicate. Original issue was describing QWidgets KCMs, not QML KCMs. And anyway I can't reproduce the issue with any QWidgets comboboxes. But I can reproduce with the QML comboboxes that display images, just like Patrick indicates. That's already tracked separately with Bug 403403.
