Please consider adding any sort of an indicator that would allow to see whether users previews a single image or a group of images. This would save users from going back and forth between Thumbnails view to Preview.

You can also see in the preview mode at the thumbbar, if you display the image of a closed group. Then the image stack frame is drawn around the thumbnail.

I guess I can just make Thumbbar as small as possible and then use Ctrl + T to show/hide when needed.
Sometimes I wish some of the thumbbar's functionality was available in Preview mode when the bar is hidden. See and set star ratings, see grouped images, see pick and color labels, etc.
