Bug persists. Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.56.0 Qt Version: 5.12.2 This behavior persists. Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.16.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.59.0 Qt Version: 5.12.3 I cannot reproduce this on my ASUS DRW-24D5MT. Is it possible to test this with the latest firmware update on your CD-writer? Thanks in advance for your help. (In reply to Yuri Chornoivan from comment #3) > I cannot reproduce this on my ASUS DRW-24D5MT. Is it possible to test this > with the latest firmware update on your CD-writer? > > Thanks in advance for your help. I already use the latest firmware. In fact the disc does not spin until it is ejected manually, it takes several minutes (~35) to stop spinning. I can reproduce the behavior using two optical drives. My desktop have LG WH14NS40 and runs Arch Linux, my laptop have matshita dvd-ram ujbc2j and runs Neon unstable edition. ops, I meant matshita dvd-ram uj8c2, not ujbc2j I have just noticed something important: this behavior only occurs if I keep Dolphin open and showing the content of the audio CD during CD ripping. 1. open Dolphin 2. insert an audio CD and wait your system recognize it 3. click on "Audio CD" under "Removable devices" in the left side 4. open "FLAC" folder 5. drag any track to "Home" in the left side and drop it 6. click "Copy" in the context menu and wait the track ripping to finish Result: after the track ripping, the audio CD is still spinning into the optical device - the LED of the optical device is still blinking. Now close Dolphin: the LED of the optical device immediatelly stops to blinking. The LED of the optical device immediately stops to blinking after the track to be ripped if Dolphin was closed before the ripping to be finished. audiocd-kio 19.08.1 Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.16.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.62.0 Qt Version: 5.13.1 (In reply to Patrick Silva from comment #6) > I have just noticed something important: this behavior only occurs > if I keep Dolphin open and showing the content of the audio CD > during CD ripping. > > 1. open Dolphin > 2. insert an audio CD and wait your system recognize it > 3. click on "Audio CD" under "Removable devices" in the left side > 4. open "FLAC" folder > 5. drag any track to "Home" in the left side and drop it > 6. click "Copy" in the context menu and wait the track ripping to finish > > Result: after the track ripping, the audio CD is still spinning into the > optical device > - the LED of the optical device is still blinking. > Now close Dolphin: the LED of the optical device immediatelly stops to > blinking. > > The LED of the optical device immediately stops to blinking after the track > to be ripped > if Dolphin was closed before the ripping to be finished. > it's still reproducible. Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.75.0 Qt Version: 5.15.1 There is no need to ping me every release for every single bug. This does not make the fixing faster. I just do not know how to fix these bigs. If I know and it would be easy, this has already been fixed. :'( Thanks for your work on reporting this. i'm not pinging you every release. The last update on this issue was more than 1 year ago. Optical disc support of KDE software in general is bad and seems abandoned. Yes, I know open source software is mostly developed by volunteers (and no matter). Unfortunately I'm not a software developer able to improve the situation myself. :( Sorry. In fact the Audio CD keeps spinning while Dolphin shows its contents. CD ripping is not necessary to reproduce this bug. 1. open an Audio CD with Dolphin 2. minimize Dolphin and keep using your machine doing anything Result: Audio CD never stops spinning Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.105.0 Qt Version: 5.15.9 Graphics Platform: Wayland Fixed. \o/ audiocd-kio 24.01.75-1 Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.245.0 Qt Version: 6.6.0 Graphics Platform: Wayland *** Bug 477682 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
