Reported originally reported the same thing last year: Bug 380138 $ appstreamcli search vlc | grep Identifier Identifier: org.videolan.vlc [desktop-application] Identifier: vlc.desktop [desktop-application] appstream is telling us about vlc twice... So is this a Neon/Ubuntu/Debian packaging bug? Or an AppStream bug? Or something else? It's most definitely an issue in appstream. I'm following up with Klumpp about it. If there's nothing we can or should do on our side, can we close this RESOLVED UPSTREAM? Appstream maintainer Mr Klumpp says it's fixed in the next stable version, so it's a matter of making sure it reaches people. (In reply to Aleix Pol from comment #6) > Appstream maintainer Mr Klumpp says it's fixed in the next stable version, > so it's a matter of making sure it reaches people. Is the fix available in AppStream 0.12.3? I have AppStream-0.12.3 on Arch Linux but the bug persists. |
