open kickoff launcher
rigth click some entry in "favorites" tab, select "edit application..."
click "application" tab
edit "name" and/or "description" fields, click on "Ok" button
Result: name/description of edited entry remains the same.
The entry in "favorites" tab is updated when Plasma session is restarted.
Sometimes the entry of the same app is updated immediately in "Applications"
tab of the kickoff launcher (Firefox, for examaple), sometimes it's not updated
even after restart Plasma (Quod libet player, for example).
