Description David Pomerenke 2018-08-28 15:46:04 UTC
I can choose a white background; and i can change the transparency of the overall note including the text. However, it is in some cases quite useful to have a transparent background but no transparent text, e.g.:
- I want to annotate a figure. (sometimes)
- I want to add text between lines with minimal covering of the text by the sticky note. (quite often!)
- I want to add decent subtle notes on backgrounds of different colour. (seldom)
Background transparency would thus be a nice feature!

(It's called Haftnotiz in German and I suppose that translates to Sticky Note. However, I might be wrong.)

That sounds like typewriter. We did it during this Google Summer of Code. It's described in Dileeps status report https://community.kde.org/GSoC/2018/StatusReports/DileepSankhla, could you check if that's what you're looking for?

The patch is here: https://phabricator.kde.org/D13203. We just need to find some time to merge it.

It should be the other way around.

Bug #353401 was reported much earlier.

Apologies I'm wrong.
