Is the bug fix for "areas and fingers" fix the issue ? @Nate Graham Yes, it would be nice if trackpoints could be configured independently of the settings used for touchpads. Relevant libinput documentation: https://wayland.freedesktop.org/libinput/doc/latest/trackpoints.html @Nate: Is this documentation really complete? Has press-to-select been removed from beeing able to be configured? Not being familiar with trackpoint hardware, I don't know what press-to-select means, sorry. You'd need to ask the Libinput developer Peter Hutterer regarding what trackpoint features Libinput supports nowadays. How can he be contacted. I found the gitpage of libinput. But as far as I know it is inappropriate to ask a support question on a bugtracker.
