SDDM
*This features (I mean: hiding the user's avatar, blurring, animation, text shadow) should be optional (enable/disable). Created attachment 113400 [details]

Is your background set to be a single colour rather than an image? I agree with this and support the request. The new features have their use, but they should indeed be optional! I also believe they should be more customizable, such as the blur intensity or the fade-to color. (In reply to David Edmundson from comment #8) > Is your background set to be a single colour rather than an image? Yes, but it is not about this. >Yes, but it is not about this.
It is, because I want to understand details of the underlying problem.

Also I noticed that the battery icon on the right bottom corner is super small in SDDM screen. Like in this bugreport - Bug 380826 [https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=380826] but for me it is conversely (the Lock Screen battery icon is normal, but SDDM screen battery icon is tiny). Probably, for this issue it would be better to make a separate report, but I did not understand to which component it belongs. I had not figure out how to make an SDDM screenshot. Hmm, if you set your background to be a solid color, the animation is supposed to turn off automatically. Cannot reproduce in Plasma 5.19. Can you? Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20200720 KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.72.0 Qt Version: 5.15.0 Kernel Version: 5.7.9-1-default OS Type: 64-bit Yes, I can. I no longer know if this is a bug or a normal phenomenon. Oh goodness, I see now. So this is technically intentional, but clearly the effect is not amazing, as blurring a solid color has no effect, and the darkening effect we apply can cause the color to get all warped looking. |
