We could also add back a contextual menu to do that. The playlist now has an "Undo" button every time is it cleared or replaced, so hopefully this situation is not so dire anymore. However I agree with you that we are missing the ability to very quickly play a single song without affecting the playlist at all. I have often wanted this while building a new playlist; I want to hear a few seconds of a song so I can decide whether or not I want it in the playlist. But I can't do tihs without adding it to the playlist or replacing the contents of the playlist, which defeats the point. Perhaps we need some kind of "quick preview" or " play immediately" functionality. The solution would be to simply stop the current song from the playlist and play the new one. There's not much to it isn't it? There could be simple "+" button in the toolbar "add to current playlist" if you like the song. The song then would be added and selected in the playlist. Right now every song being played needs to be added to the playlist somewhere. The plus button does an "append to playlist", so perhaps a "prepend to playlist" action could be used, which immediately adds the selected song/album/whatever to the beginning of the playlist, not the end. So i was just gonna ask, are there any plans for this kind of feature to be added? If anyone works on it, it'll be reviewed and accepted if it's good quality. |
