In 5.8.2 it became slightly better, but still formatings for Umlauts (ü) are contained Thank you for reporting this issue in KDE software. As it has been a while since this issue was reported, can we please ask you to see if you can reproduce the issue with a recent software version? Using openSUSE Tumbleweed 20180427, kmail (libkdepim 18.04): When replying to a HTML-message, all formatting options are included in the reply: Am Dienstag, 1.
