It is working as intended. If you want a "direct" drag/drop as in Windows, please make a request here in the bug tracker.

Spurious disabled mouse cursor when entering desktop for a few seconds
I get the same issue and have attached a video of the behavior. Note the spurious "disabled" mouse icon that appears for a second when entering desktop.

The red indicator shows itself on places you cannot drop things on, in this case that would be the edge of the Dolphin window. The same will happen over the scroll bars, status bar, etc. You can ask for an option to turn these indicators off, if you want. Same issue as Bug 388259: there's an extra movement required before the cursor updates properly. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 388259 *** |
