The contect menu for items in the trash helpgully includes a "Restore" menu that will send it back to where it came from. UNhelpfully, it doesn't tell you what that location is, so if you're forgotten where the file lived, it's somewhat useless.

It would be a nice usability bump to show the path in the menu item, so that it said "Restore to /some/path/to/the/directory/where/it/lived"

Yes restoring items can be tricky but I don't like your solution because it would mess up the context menu, which could become quite too wide and won't look aesthetic anymore.

My first intention was to use a tooltip but I think the best way to display this information would be via the status bar while hovering over the restore option. "Restore foo.bar to /home/user/Documents/"
