what I do: 

- select  a theme,
- quit the program,
- start the program anew

- - 

what I get: the same default theme: Breeze Dark

I keep having to start every session with selecting my theme..
I forgot that I have already reported this :) 
(I came here this morning to report it, I just found this already existing  report)

SOLVED * * * 

as the beautiful kdenlive-18.04.0-x86_64.AppImage címe out, 
the problem got solved !! :)
