It might be that this issue is already fixed in Kile version 2.9.91/2.9.92 Unfortunately, I cannot easily test it. I installed Kile from https://launchpad.net/~kile/+archive/ubuntu/master This repo offers Kile version 2.9.92 for artful and zesty but not for xenial, which is the ubuntu basis for kde neon The issue is not fixed in Kile version 2.9.92 (which I tried installing Kile package from KDE neon Dev Unstable). It may also be that this is not Kile-dependent but sth wrong in frameworks (source code or packaging).
