[Splitting bugs because it's got too confusing]

In my laptop doesn't works. There's always memory leak with qt 5.9.3 and Plasma 5.11.3. I've a hybrid intel/nvidia graphic card, I7 proc 8x and 15 GB of RAM. I've deleted any plasma config file, but the bug is always there...

The same here. Memory leak bug is still existing.
Plasma 5.11.4
Qt 5.9.3

I'm not sure what leaks were or were not fixed, but the primary issue that got duped then split here - the desktop slideshow being completely unusable, is still fully broken.

Enabling a media frame will cause KDE to leak memory so fast it will crash most systems in 20 minutes.

What do you need to see to get this properly fixed? Its so completely trivial to reproduce, I don't understand why folks are waiting on logs again to fix this nasty regression.

Yesterday my system got an update to Qt 5.10.0 and the memory leak bug is still there.

Let's track the remaining memory leaks when using slideshows (wallpaper, photo widget, media frame, etc) in Bug 368838.
