can you give a bit more information? What kind of image were you making? How much ram was used? How much ram is krita allowed to use according to the performance tab? Which version of Krita exactly are you using? Also, please try to download DebugView and have it open when it happens. Ah, okay so you were using a 3.x version of Krita. This popup doesn't exist in Krita 4.x, where the autosave problem has been solved.
