After the recent setup of a new machine I did again some tests. On the new machine it worked without any issues. So back to the existing machine, I checked why I couldn't connect again to my webdav folder. The difference is that the KDE Password manager still had some old/invalid passwords. The setup of the webdav connection should ask the user to type in a new password and it shouldn't just tell the user that the connection to the server didn't work.
