Kickoff did have code to highlight new items at some point (FYI this is a continuation of a conversation started at https://phabricator.kde.org/D7905) It used to have a "Recently installed" category until it was rewritten to use Kicker's backend. Great idea, would be really nice if we could implement this! Newly installed applications now make a dot appear on their respective categories, and a badge on the list when you enter those categories. I guess a dedicated category would also be nice, but that's already a good discoverability improvement. |
