is the little top-right pin icon enabled? No, I hardly ever touch that. Same here. But it's not limited to systray icons. Problem affects any plasma app (application launcher, application menu, clipboard, ...), regardless of whether it's located in the panel or on the desktop. In addition to restarting plasma shell, removing and re-adding the app in question also works (but is tedious, of course). Version here is 5.8.6 on Debian Stretch. Looks related to this bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377956 Cannot confirm such problem on Arch Linux, plasma 5.12.5. I can open any applet from system tray after I switch virtual desktops using the pager applet or a keyboard shortcut. (In reply to Dr. Chapatin from comment #5) > Cannot confirm such problem on Arch Linux, plasma 5.12.5. > I can open any applet from system tray after I switch virtual desktops using > the pager applet or a keyboard shortcut. ...while device notifier is opened. I must admit I haven't seen the problem in a long time. Closing as fixed then. Just updated my system to Debian buster which ships KDE Frameworks 5.46.0 and still have this issue. *** Bug 400029 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Cannot reproduce on the latest version: Operating System: KDE neon 5.17 KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.63.0 Qt Version: 5.13.1 Kernel Version: 5.0.0-31-generic OS Type: 64-bit |
