What format is your image exactly? What format are you rendering the frames to? Are the frames themselves visible? ffmpeg can only with with 8 bit/channel png images. I can see the frames when i'm in krita but the rendered video is pure black. Can you check whether the png's created when rendering the frames are black, too?
