Salut Thomas :) I see in your installation script (claiming to install digikam!) that you are downloading 17.04.0-2 + FFmpeg. Since then I have uploaded 17.04.3 build: it doesn't show the icon warning (was assuming unix distribution), and also includes FFmpeg libs (but not x264/x265 for legal issues). Can you try with that new version? Also, can you try emptying %USER%\AppData\Local\kdenliverc %USER%\AppData\Local\kdenlive\ %USER%\AppData\Roaming\kdenlive\ > Salut Thomas :) Bonjour :-) > I see in your installation script (claiming to install digikam!) Oh yes that's a copy paste issue, I was also writing scripts to install digiKam at this time ^_^. > Can you try with that new [ffmpeg] version? Sure. If I understand correctly, I only have to install Kdenlive if I don't mind supporting h264/h265? > Also, can you try emptying > %USER%\AppData\Local\kdenliverc > %USER%\AppData\Local\kdenlive\ > %USER%\AppData\Roaming\kdenlive\ You probably mean %LOCALAPPDATA%\kdenliverc, %LOCALAPPDATA%\kdenlive and %APPDATA%\kdenlive. Here AppData\Local is on local drive while AppData\Roaming is on network share and they obviously do not share the same parent dir neither the same file system, and kdenlive writes nothing in %APPDATA% (roaming), see bug #382358. So I tested this new release, cleared stuff, but it still crashes at startup. I also tested with local non-domain user, same behavior. I updated installation script for 17.04.3 release and enhanced uninstall one. Please try with the actual Kdenlive version 18.08.2 Bug known. Solution (root cause) unknown. Workaround: Run batch file of Bug 393836 before you start Kdenlive or after you close it. This will kill all running instances. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 393836 *** |
