(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package:           kmail
Version:           KDE 2.9.2 CVS/CVSup/Snapshot
Severity:          wishlist
Installed from:    Compiled sources
Compiler:          gcc 2.95.3
OS:                Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

Would be possible to expire mails considering the father thread?
KMail messes up because it tries to expire mail in this way:

Post1 10/12/2001
`-> Post2 11/12/2001
    `-> Post3 11/12/2001
    `-> Post4 13/12/2001
`-> Post5 12/12/2001

Today why remove mail from 10/12/2001: here is the result

Post2 11/12/2001
`-> Post3 11/12/2001
`-> Post4 13/12/2001
Post5 12/12/2001

Instead I think a thread should be preserved and not deleted until the lastest message in it matches the rule.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
