Description harald 2017-06-18 18:27:27 UTC
Platform: kubuntu 16.04 i386, backport ppa enabled

akonadi_archivemail_agent always crashes while e-mail archiving process. The bug reporting requests to install debug-symbols packages for:

* /usr/bin/akonadi_archivemail_agent
* /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/sse2/libQt5Core.so.5

but such packages do not exist.

akonadi_archivemail_agent --version switch does not work either.

Thank you
harald

If this is reproducible, please add the backtrace, even incomplete. You can ask for help in a forum of your distribution with installing the correct debug packages.

Hello Christoph,

thank you for answer.

Yes it can be reproduced. Archiving crashes each time it runs on
dedicated e-mail folders. These folders include sub folders (max 4
levels). There are some e-mails with large attachments of maximal 50
MB. The contents of folders are not available offline, not stored
locally.

Unfortunately, there is no package with debug information for kontact
nor akonadi provided yet. Therefore the attached backtrace is
classified as "not useful".

The version of akonadiserver is 5.2.2. Installed from ubuntu backport
ppa. There is no newer kontact version on kubuntu at all.
The hardware is a virtual machine, VMware 11, that runs on a VMware
Workstation Player 12 on a Linux host.

I hope the information ist helpful.

Thank you for support
Harald
