I also had the blinking problem with KDE Neon User Edition 5.9 on Ubuntu 16.04.2. The screen just blacks out for a second, as if I had just blinked my eyes. It did it all the time but seemingly with random amounts of time between blinks. I also have Intel integrated graphics but on a Lenovo T510. # lshw -C video *-display description: VGA compatible controller product: Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller vendor: Intel Corporation physical id: 2 bus info: pci@0000:00:02.0 version: 02 width: 64 bits clock: 33MHz capabilities: msi pm vga_controller bus_master cap_list rom configuration: driver=i915 latency=0 resources: irq:26 memory:f2000000-f23fffff memory:d0000000-dfffffff ioport:1800(size=8) memory:c0000-dffff # My problem seemed to be linked to the kernel version, popping up sometime after 4.1, and disappearing sometime between 4.11.3 and 4.12-rc2. Is it still happening in Plasma 5.18 or later? Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days.
