Description judson 2002-01-31 22:10:53 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kmail
Version: 1.3.1 (using KDE 2.2.2 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
Compiler: gcc 2.96
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

As part of my duties I review the failed emails that come through my ISP and sometimes try to fix typo'd email addresses. The trouble is redirecting replaces the Reply-To headers which means that suddenly I'm in the middle of a conversation that I was trying to help along. I need either:

Outgoing filters to strip off the Reply-To header that KMail adds

OR

Redirect to leave the headers exactly as they were even if it means masquerading as the original sender.

Replaced judson@irev2.com with null@kde.org due to bounces by reporter

Is this a duplicate of Bug 44532?
Comment 3 Tom Albers 2004-08-12 19:35:58 UTC
no, it is not imho
Comment 4 Björn Ruberg 2009-12-13 01:41:26 UTC
Yeah, an "Redirect anonymously" option would be good.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
