With this limited information it is impossible to track down your issue. Can you please either install Kdenlive from the Kdenlive project ppa, either stable, or main together with updated MLT and frei0r packages? Does the problem persist? What codec packages did you install? Created attachment 102392 [details] frei0r_version.txt Hello Thank you for your reply to my bug-report and your advise. I just want to give you a feed-back on theactions I took. I did a complete new install of Kubuntu 16.04 LT. I installed Kdenlive from ppa.launchpad.net/kdenlive/kdenlive-stable/ubuntu. I installed extra codeces (see attached file) I updated frei0r and MLT. (see attached file) After a reboot everything works fine.
