Is anyone looking at this issue? This happens to me on a fresh install of kubuntu 16.04.01 This is most probably issue in BlueZ. You can confirm it by removing your audio device from known devices, disabling Plasma Bluetooth integration (from KCM Bluetooth -> Advanced) and then trying to connect to the device with "bluetoothctl". I've tried this, same issue. Once the headset is trusted, paired and connected, when I turn off the headset and then turn it on, the connection takes place but the volume is lower. Using bluetoothctl, I then disconnect and reconnect and the volume is louder as at the previous level it should be at. Is there a way to get the volume level using bluetoothctl? so I can isolate the problem with the volume level. No, volume controls pulseaudio. OK then it seems after using your suggestion there is an issue with volume level changing when turning the device off and then on again. Also I am unable to get the correct max volume again. In that case, please report the bug against BlueZ/PulseAudio. Sure will do, thanks! |
