Can you please provide more details: 1. What archive type did this happen with? 2. How exactly did you extract the archive (drag-and-drop, right-click in Dolphin, extract action within Ark)? 3. If the archive is small can you attach it to this bug report, or provide a link if it's an online archive? 4. Did you try with a more recent version of Ark i.e. 16.08? Hi - thanks for responding so quickly!! 1. It was a .rar archive (it happened with several all with similar file names) 2. I dragged-and-dropped. I just tried reproducing the bug by opening, right-clicking the file in ark and selecting the extraction path and it worked FINE. So maybe it'ts the drag-and-drop. 3. The archive is rather large ( more than 2 Gigs) and I don't feel comfortable posting the link (I'm sorry, I know this makes things harder) 4. I'll try that and get back to you Can you copy-paste here the *actual* filename that was cropped? Even better if you could provide the ark debug output: from terminal run $ export QT_LOGGING_RULES=ark.*.debug=true $ ark Hi -- I'd rather not paste it here. But I'll mail the debug output to you, Elvis. (In reply to Hans Überacher from comment #4) > Hi -- I'd rather not paste it here. But I'll mail the debug output to you, > Elvis. Sure. Please do. Closing for now, as discussed via email. Please reopen if you can reproduce with Ark 16.08 |
