I found this: http://gparted-forum.surf4.info/viewtopic.php?id=17446 Although the 2nd workaround works, it seems is not a KDE exclusive problem. Well, this is part of a wider problem. On wayland you can't easily run applications as root. They have to use KAuth to obtain privileges. But Partition Manager uses root A LOT, so porting everything to KAuth very non trivial.
