Full text search does not work.

Baloo is running though files in .local/share/baloo/email are untouched since Oct 2015.

akonadi_baloo_indexer and  /usr/bin/akonadi_imap_resource are running

Right clicking an IMAP folder, properties, maintaince 'enable' is ticked, but status is 'still not'

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. tools, find
2. search in all, subject contains e
3. search


Actual Results:  
no results, search complete message

Expected Results:  
many results, search complete message

After running balooctl stop I removed .local/share/baloo/emai* and rebooted.

Baloo appears hung :

$ balooctl status
Baloo File Indexer is running
Indexer state: Indexing file content
Indexed 15615 / 117946 files
Current size of index is 76.73 MiB

how do I find out what it is actually doing ?

Toggleing search off and on via system settings then rechecking just returns it to the same position.

Same Issue with Kmail 5.2.3

Same issue on Kubuntu 17.04 using Kmail 5.2.3
 
This is bug is a deal breaker for me. It's the only reason I use Thunderbird.

We fixed a lot of bug about it in 5.5.0.
Could you test it please ?

KDE 5.5.0 or KMAIL 5.5.0? 
i use KDE-Plasma 5.9.4 and KDE-Framework 5.31.0

KDEPIM version -> KDE Applications releases mapping:

5.5.x -> 17.04.x
5.4.x -> 16.12.x
5.3.x -> 16.08.x
5.2.x -> 16.04.x
5.1.x -> 15.12.x

(completely independend of Plasma or KF5 frameworks releases)

Version 5.5.0 (from KDE Applications 17.04) has the same problem.
