Work around to recover:

End of desktop.

Actual Results:
Screen locked forever. No unlock window ever presented (at least I couldn't get it to appear).

Are you sure its just screen locking and not plasmashell crashing? Verify by trying to open KRunner, press Alt+Space.

Hi,

I was able to press ctrl-alt-delete which produced the logout dialog. I took that to mean my desktop was operating normally, but just not accessible. I could log out too. When I logged in again the desktop appeared but soon locked again. It was never responsive to input after the first (screen?)lock.

Do you still want me to try Alt+Space? I'd have to trash my desktop again :-(

The web browser plasmoid has been ported from QtWebKit to QtWebEngine so it is unlikely this still applies.
