When i zoom out, specifically 50% or below, im pretty much unable to draw because the brush lags and something about update complete always keeps loading in the bottom of the screen.....but it works just fine when its zoomed in

Reproducible: Always

Hi Lili,

This doesn't happen for me, so let's see...
What are the specifications of your notebook?
How big is your image?
What is the color model and channel depth of your image?
Is OpenGL enabled?
Is Instant Preview enabled?
Does it make a difference if you uncheck "Enable Progress Reporting" in the performance page of the settings dialog?

i tend to draw on 2000x2000 canvas, the model is always RGB and i already tried out color depth of 16 bits and also 8 bits but it still the same. And no, OpenGL is disabled and so is instant preview, theres really no difference ;( my memory is Quite big. but well :( i did hear that Krita was more so build in Linux so Unbuntu is more compabile with it ;(

Hm, 2000x2000 is not big at all, and with that canvas size, Instant Preview is not useful. How many layers does your image have? Note that a color depth of 8 bits means 8 bits per channel, not 8 bits per pixel. 32 bits means 32 bits per channel and is only useful for HDR images for VFX studios. Enabling OpenGL should make Krita work much smoother. And did you try to disable progress reporting?
