I believe that adding the ability to mirror content within a selection both vertically and horizontally would improve Krita's workflow. Currently, if one wishes to achieve a similar effect, one needs to make a selection, cut it, paste it, and then mirror the layer that you pasted it onto. It slows things down if you do need to do it this way, and thus I believe the ability to mirror content within a selection could be quite useful.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Expected Results:
The content of the selection should be mirrored, in place, through a menu click or a key shortcut.

+1 for mirroring to be active while drawing inside a selection.

If a user has activated mirror or symmetry modes , the portion which he draws inside a selection (marching ants) don't get mirrored.

Having this feature will be of great help.

+1
I've been using mirror painting a lot lately, and I agree, it really needs to take into account selections.
