(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package:           kcalc
Version:           KDE 2.2.2
Severity:          wishlist
Installed from:    Not Specified
Compiler:          Not Specified
OS:                Not Specified
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

While Kcalc has some nice features and requests for more features it would make sense to have a simple 10 - key interface. My parents are > 60 and starting to move towards Linux. A simple 10-key for them and I think others would be a nice and easy to use.

It think this usability problem can be solved by making kcalc "skinable".
When this is done it will be also posible for example to make a skin that looks like this:

When this is possible computernewbies that already can work with some calculator, can directly start
using kcalc.

kcalc definatly shouldn't be skinnable.. that's a usability problem in itself and is simply not consistant with the rest of KDE.

On the other hand, a simple mode for kcalc might be useful (even set as default)

KCalc in KDE 3.2 will have this options to show/hide some/all extra buttons.
