It think this usability problem can be solved by making kcalc "skinable". When this is done it will be also posible for example to make a skin that looks like this: http://www.datamath.org/Sci/Modern/Images/TI-40College.jpg When this is possible computernewbies that already can work with some calculator, can directly start using kcalc. kcalc definatly shouldn't be skinnable.. that's a usability problem in itself and is simply not consistant with the rest of KDE. On the other hand, a simple mode for kcalc might be useful (even set as default) KCalc in KDE 3.2 will have this options to show/hide some/all extra buttons. |
