I am having the same issue. The plasmashell process will start out using about 220MB of memory and after an hour become about 1.5GB memory usage. I am running this on Kubuntu 15.10, Plasma verison 5.6.90 from the Neon repository
Hardware:
Intel 4690K
8GB DDR3
Nvidia GTX 970 running driver 352.63

Confirming the problem. After a while a performance becomes very sluggish, need to relogin.
On thing I noticed also that a system tray stop adding icons at some point, could be related problem.

I am having the same problem with Plasma 5.5.5 see attachment above. Can't reproduce in: Distribution: KDE neon Developer Edition Unstable Branches KDE Plasma Version: 5.10.90 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.37.0 Qt Version: 5.9.1 Kernel Version: 4.10.0-32-generic *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 381000 *** |
