Hi Matthew, Could you please attach one of the jpeg files that crashes Krita -- I haven't been able to reproduce a crash with the jpeg's I have, so I suspect the scanner is adding some broken metadata that makes Krita or libjpeg crash. Created attachment 96779 [details]
The two files: one crashes the other opens just fine.
The first file "*02.jpeg" will crash Krita, but the second file "*02a.jpeg" was created in Krita from the clipboard and works just fine.
Hm, I tested with 2.9.10 on Windows 10, and there it opened fine. With 2.9.10 on OSX, Krita complained that the jpeg file was not in a normal colorspace for jpeg and loaded it as grayscale with your scanner's Gray profile -- but I didn't get a crash. The 3.0 pre-alpha loaded it fine as well. i have the same problem on osx 10.11.5. the attached files open/crash as described. I'll attach a stack trace and another jpeg that doesn't work (came from a phone camera). Created attachment 99253 [details]

Hi Adam, That file of yours works for me with 3.0 on El Capitan. 3.0 is going to be officially released tomorrow. And 3.0 also loads the files in the first attachment. |
