Thanks. Did restarting help? When you open the PowerDevil settings, does it open up on the AC settings tab or Battery? This way we know whether PowerDevil is actually running in the AC profile. Restarting does not help. When I open Powerdevil settings, they always open on the AC Settings tab. I'm experiencing a very similar problem.
Changing energy saving values or unchecking them are being correctly committed ("xset q" shows the changed values), although if I exit and enter again the Power Management settings, the unchecked checkmarks are gone. Logging in again does load the previous settings.
