Sentry Crash Report:

Description Gregor Mi 2015-12-18 16:48:44 UTC
At some point after logging in to plasma session the Keyboard layout switcher stops working.

The scrollwheel and the Ctrl+Alt+K shortcut stop working. Also click and right-click do not work or the context menu appears only after 10 seconds and switching the language there also does not work.

The following workarounds do NOT work for me:
- https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=295438#c53 (right-click on layout indicator)
- https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=334784#c2 (kill and restart kded5)

There were suggestions that this has something to do with the DBUS.

I wonder if there is a shell command that can change the keyboard layout "by hand".

It happens when I start Mozilla Firefox. I'll try with a clean profile.

After new login, I cleaned the Firefox cache and started it. Started Thunderbird and kate. Scroll wheel did still work. After a few minutes (cannot point to the exact action) I noticed that the scroll wheel on Keyboard layout switcher again stopped working.

After a fresh install of openSUSE 42.1 the problem was resolved.
