I've been wondering why Firefox never makes it into my "Recent Applications" list. The answer is that I've been searching for it - rather than choosing it from the "Internet" group - every time.

If I type in "fire" and click on the Firefox icon (or just hit "Enter"), Firefox will be launched as normal. However, if I then go back to the Application Dashboard, I notice that it's not in my "Recent Applications" list.

If I instead highlight the "Internet" group and click on Firefox, once again it launches as normal. This time, however, when I next launch the Application Dashboard, it is present in the "Recent Applications" list.

Now, obviously this doesn't just occur with Firefox. I have tested it with other applications and the same thing happens with them. Please ensure that launching "searched for" applications adds them to the "Recent Applications" list.

Reproducible: Always

I didn't see that one because it's listed under "krunner - general" instead of "kdeplasma-addons - Application Dashboard".

Yeah, don't worry. KRunner is what's powering the search in Appdash.
