Sorry, should have said that this is a fresh install of Kubuntu 15.10. Plasma 5.4.2 Qt 5.4.2 dolphin version - can't check because I can't get it to work. It's the one that comes with Kubuntu 15.10. Thanks for the bug report! Hidden symlinks in your home folder? I just saw that kile has created two links: .lyxpipe.in .lyxpipe.out They're pointing to files in my kde subdirectory in /tmp Renaming the two files by removing the leading dot has made dolphin responsive again. However, to not disturb kile, I have afterwards renamed them back to their initial names. I still consider this a grave bug, because this workaround to unfreeze dolphin is not straightforward. Dolphin becomes unusable to a user who doesn't get pointed to this behaviour. Even if I now know how to get dolphin back, it is a major issue that I can't switch it to show hidden files, which I consider an important feature. Thanks for the additional information! This bug had been reported already. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 352828 *** |
