I work a lot with two editors using kate components: kdevelop and kile. I would like to have separated configuration for editor for both of the, e.g. indentation, line wrapping, etc.
If I keep open both editors and customize settings for both of them, then they work OK. But after I close both and reopen, settings of the editor in both application is common and the same like in the last edited version. Which means I have to again customize editor until next launch.

I don't know whether it is a feature or a bug, it is kate or 3rd part applications (kdevelop and kile). But shouldn't one expect separate editor settings for each application?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open two different apps using kate.
2. Configure editor components in different way.
3. Close both apps.
4. Reopen again. Editor settings should be common, the same like in the last edited version.


Expected Results:  
Separate and permanent editor settings for each application.

Kde-applications-15.08.1
Kile and Kdevelop both from recent git. But issue observed since long time.

Workaround: use .editorconfig files

This got fixed long ago.
e.g. in 21.12 KWrite/Kate/... all have different settings.
