Hi,

when I attach a panel to a screen edge, the panel attaches itself to it. This is rather nice functionality. I would, however, like to have the possibility to attach a panel to another panel that is attached to a screen edge, forming a "package" of two panels that can have different heights. Their "Autohide", "Windows can cover", "Windows go below" and "Always visible" properties would ideally be coupled together.

This way, I hope it would be possible to have icons packed next to each other without having them scale up when the panel is higher than needed to properly display them.

Greetings
Marc

Reproducible: Always

I support this wish. It is possible in xfce to have one panel right over the other because they don't have to be attached to screen edges. Instead in xfce there is "lock" option that allows to "fix" panel on whatever position on screen. Excellent feature. I wish this was possible in KDE.

Very much appreciated.
Standard functionality in other OS/desktop evnrionments since years.

I don't think we have the resources to implement this given how esoteric of a request it is. Sorry if that's not the answer folks were looking for. Resources are limited and we need more developers to help out to implement unusual requests like this.
