I can confirm that it's still happening on Kubuntu 16.04. Thanks for the reports. Is it possible for one or both of you to please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug report can be marked as resolved. I've set the bug status to "needsinfo" pending your response, please change back to "reported" or "resolved" when you respond, thanks. Unfortunately I can no longer test as I've moved to Manjaro which never suffered from tearing. As far as I am concerned, KDE Plasma on Manjaro is amazing right our of the box (granted some minor bugs and annoyances).
