First of all usb audio devices are not automatically preferenced which is an annoyance.
So i have to put the preference higher for the usb device.
Then when i unplug my usb audio device its not sending the output to the next device with lower pereference

This also happens for HDMI device. When HDMI cable is unplugged, the output does not go automatically to the laptop speakers.

Also, after changing the device priority, i have to set manually the master channel in kmix, really annoying...

Here is some more detailed description about changing the master channel. There are two scenarios:
 - [ GOOD behaviour ] HDMI plugged, analog device is top priority: when i change the priority from analog to hdmi, the master channel changes. 
 - [ BAD behaviour     ] HDMI unplugged, hdmi device is top priority: when i change the priority from hdmi to analog, the master channel remains hdmi, i have to change it to analog manually using kmix.
