Could you please re-test with KScreen 5.3.0 (from Plasma 5.3.0)? There were some changes in this area in 5.3.0 that should resolve this problem. If the problem is still there, please provide a new log file. Created attachment 93035 [details]

Sorry for the delay. I tested again today with KScreen 5.3.1 and it got even worse. Now, if the TV is plugged in at startup or if I plug it after logging in, plasma will break down after some seconds. So I cannot run run kscreen-console bug.
