Just to make sure something: is the display locked (View menu -> Lock Display)? That should be default, if it is not then something went wrong with your installation. Created attachment 90641 [details] attachment-7244-0.html Hi, Regarding https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=343232, the display is locked. I tried unlocking it, still the central pane is stuck. So essentially I get the same error whether display is locked or unlocked. Thanks! I tried this again. I previously had ubuntu + KDE installed on virtualbox on my mac. Now I installed pure Kubuntu on virtualbox and tried running amarok. The central pane is no longer stuck. I also tried reinstalling Ubuntu Trusty Tahr with KDE on top of it. Now the central pane in amarok is stuck as before. So this only happens on virtualbox, but not with a regular installation? I can't reproduce with a local Kubuntu installation, changing the title Thank you for reporting this bug in KDE software.
