Contact me if you feel you need help. AFAIK this is already implemented. It gets activated only if you have sys/acl.h and libposix1e. I doubt this is standard on Mandrake so you'd have to install those and recompile kdelibs by hand. The support for this was developed on FreeBSD I have no idea if it works on Linux. Is this implementation compatible with the SGI XFS filesystem? If it is it should work flawlessly on Mandrake since XFS is supported. The thing is I don\'t have mandrake 8.1 yet (i\'m waiting for the boxes to ship).
